Ugly. 50 cents.

But I took it home.

Didn't I say 50 cents?
Cleaned off hardware

Painted several coats/colors
Created crackle with Elmer's Glue under paint
Sanded it a bit/ Reattach hardware

Add keys
All done!

Oh my...how different and better it looks! I will have to keep my eye out for things, that aren't so pretty, and bring them to you for a make over!

Can you do something with ME?

Ohhhh, that is so pretty!

I have no talent for this sort of thing. I'm envious of people who can create such magic out of the ordinary. I love your Goodwill finds.

Guess what? I just got home from the post office...because I found your gift! But then I forgot to put the whoopee cushion in it, so you will just have to wait for that gem. Also, it may not be clean because I might have used it back in November. Just so you know. Hopefully it will be in your mailbox tomorrow!

What a nice change you made from your latest find. You are inspiring me to get bush with my crafts too. Thanks!

The is so creative--taking something that looks new and making it look old. When you got it at the Goodwill it looked like something new that had been made by some underpaid worker in Mexico, but now it looks like it was made 70 years ago by someone's great grandpa. Cool!
