Fresh Is Stale

I'm getting really tired of my blog lately. I don't like the layout or the design or the colors. I don't even like the name.
I suppose I'm notorious for changing backgrounds and for having more blogs than one crazy women should ever attempt to have. Yet, all the others are pretty much dormant...

I have decided that starting July 5th, I will create a side blog that is merely the best of my other blogs combined. I'll select one of my favorite posts from the other four and start a scrapbook of sorts- mainly less personal stuff- but a mix of humor and sentiment.

I figure this will get me through most of the summer (without losing my thimble full of followers)- and in early September I hope to start something better- a new blog that I've spent time considering, designing and being faithful to on a regular basis.

Check back here next week for the new blog address if you're interested. Until then, I'll be scrubbing the toilet, hoeing the garden and mowing the yard- and wracking my brain for a great name and design. Thanks to all my wonderful followers. I appreciate the comments!

Have a great 4th of July! God Bless America.

I know what you mean...I just started two more blogs. One for kids and one for those like myself who are fascinated with death ghosts and the afterlife. I guess I needed more of a challenge. I'll be waiting for your new address.

I think it's summer.... I've been in a blog funk myself. Enjoy your time away, and maybe when the weather cools off we will all feel more...write-y. LOL

Well, it is no secret that I am "blogged out" sorta'...I feel the same way..I plan to sort out just what is what I wish to write about and combine them ...(Don't know why I didn't think of that before...lol) I wish you well, and I KNOW that what ever you choose will be great and a worthy blog to follow...Apologies from me as life gets in the way and I have not been to visit as much as I should, but I am like you---I am pullin' weeds, sweepin' the patio, feedin' birds, volunteerin', keepin' up with the trial of Casey, and I really have desire to write, but time is at a premium..Don't lose contact dear friend....

I know how you feel! I would love to change things up a bit but I feel a bit stuck. Good luck with the new look. I look forward to seeing it! Blessings, Joanne

You know ... I LOVE blog design and would be honored to help you if you would like! But if you want to do it yourself ... I get that too! And I also understand just wanting something new and pretty!

I did a change about seven months ago or maybe more. I split my blog up into two - one for personal, folksy stuff and one for my writing. The writing one used to be Crazy Jane but no one got the allusion to the poem by Yeats and my name is Jan not Jane and then I decided my writing blog is a platform to help sell my books so maybe I should call it by my name. And that seems fine to me - I just put the crazy following it:
Jan Morrison, this crazy writing life. The other blog is called Living the Complicated Simple Life and it suits my needs fine. As to fresh looks - I'm a maniac for changing things around. I'd spend all my time doing that if I wasn't careful. I like the name of this blog and your look but hey - I certianly understand a desire for change.
Have a lovely fourth and I'll have a great first (Canada Day).

hah, seems I've just had this conversation with a friend about how she was bored with her blog, blah, blah, blah...I am as well, but this was my thought; it's not what it looks like but what's inside that counts and well, isn't that is what is important with people?
Have a great great time scrubbing toilets and all that fun stuff and see you after your hiatus!

I think that we all need change from time to time. I have always had a private blog that I play with and change up all the time. So, I get my "need for change" out on that blog! I hope you are having a great day!
