All right Rae, you write the lyrics, I'll put it to music, and we'll send it off to Nashville for some fabulous recording artist to make famous. Oh, and we'll be rich, too. Totally agree with ya.
I agree with your post, Rae, but it's not a popular opinion, I'm afraid. To speak out for traditional marriage causes the opposite side to label you as a hate monger and a bigot. In my opinion, it's getting more and more difficult to stand on the side of godly values without appearing to be full of hate and violence...because of those few who really ARE full of hate and violence. We need to find a way to reflect God's grace and love to a society that needs it so badly...without seeming to accept those behaviors that are causing our country to go in a direction away from God. DH said one Sunday morning after church--look at the stands at the football game...jam packed. And look at the pews on Sunday morning...plenty of space. We're taking what's temporary and in the end, completely unimportant, and putting it ahead of the things with the most value. I still believe in this country and I believe there are a lot of us who feel this way. We are just too silent! Cathy
Yes, where are Toby and Alan? I think that politics and religion are forbidden subjects for most folks anymore. They are afraid to express their opinions....afraid of losing their fan base or friends!
Where has taking God out of the school system gotten us? Just look around and you can see clearly the results.
